I’ve always been passionate about the outdoors. I remember when we were young my family would take me and my little brother out for adventures in the mountains. This planted the seed and helped shape who I am today and how much I enjoy myself in the outdoors.

I’ve always been interested in sport since I was young - playing soccer and softball, and competing in triathlons before getting more into running in my early 20’s.

In both 2019 and 2021 UTMB, you have achieved good results with KAILAS FUGA Pro series. What are your most unforgettable experiences of these two races?

The UTMB and CCC are the two largest races in the world. For me to be able to perform to such a high level on two occasions was amazing.

Very few athletes in the world have more than one podium at UTMB races.

I wore the Fuga Pro for both races for the whole race.

Why will you continue to choose KAILAS FUGA Pro trail running shoes this year?

For me the Fuga Pro is the perfect balance between comfort/protection and responsiveness

Apart from the trail running shoes, would you like to share some other mandatory equipment?

It’s so important to train with your full race pack and mandatory gear.

You need to get used to the weight of the pack with all your nutrition and hydration also.

The combined weight of all of the mandatory gear/nutrition/water adds to a few kilograms so you need to get comfortable with this.

Where is your favorite place for trail running?

I love all types of terrain and profiles when training and racing.

My favorite would have to be technical rolling single track. Nothing quite beats that feeling of running along trails like this with friends.

My favourite place for trail running is the Dolomites.

The variety of trails and the scenery is incredible! Keep chasing your dreams, don’t believe anyone that says you “can’t” or “it’s too hard”.
