I have used this vest on several 5+ hour trail runs. I have been able to pack enough nutrition, windbreaker, extra gloves, buff and water filter to sustain the entire run. I think I had the vest at its limit, but it handled it comfortably.
Some of these runs were below freezing needing more layers. I'm 6' (182 cm) and 195 lb (88 kg). The vest fit fully expanded but an XL size would have allowed for more adjustment. With a single layer shirt, I do have to tighten the vest to keep it snug.
I would also add that the water flask compression pulls work surprisingly well. I can pull them with one hand and they silence any fluid sloshing sound.
