Comfort meet Durability

I have purchased these trail running shoes a while back and waited until I had enough miles on them before giving an honest review. So far I have done around 50 miles running on trails with these and by the end of this year I am expecting to complete another 50 miles as well as an ultra trail race with these shoes. As of now, these have been the best shoes I have worn! The shape of the shoe gives my toes the needed space to breathe while the laces, when pulled tightly, keeps the shoe snug on your feet. The wideness of the sole and the specific sole pattern underneath really helps with the traction. I feel secure and have much more confidence running downhill on mixed terrain with these shoes than other brands. I have crossed through small streams and rivers, and drainage is great. My only regret is not to have waited for the upgraded version of this shoe, which has the BOA lace system. I semi struggle to keep these shoes tightly. When the laces are pulled and stay tight, the shoe fits perfectly. I've had a few instances where, as I am running, the laces will untighten, and I need to pause to tighten and Reloop them onto the shoe. Doesn't happen often, but when it does it can get somewhat annoying.
The appearance of this shoe is slick and unique. Many compliments received for wearing this shoe. Will be trying this on a few Spartan races this year as well as a Spartan Ultra the end of this year; This will really put the test on these shoes! (Will be making a video on this soon after these events).
My recommendation, get these shoes. If you can, get the version with the BOA system to avoid issues with the laces.
